Great railway and overall day out. You can get the train from a few locations and either ride from one end to the other or do a loop with a few coffee stops along the way!

Great heritage railway running from Porthmadog to Carnavern through the Snowdonia national park with several stops along the way .We travelled to the village of Beddgelert taking about a 45 minutes journey. The staff were very friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable and made it a very memorable trip ,after approx 0ne hour and a half we reboarded the train and returned to Porthmadog a very pleasant day out.

Four of us went on the West Highland Railway today, 2nd October 2024, at 10.15am. The crew were very helpful and friendly. The journey was a nice experience. We travelled from Porthmadog to Beddgelert and returned. I would recommend this trip.

Checked pricing and very expensive. Probably a lovely trip but not in these financial times. Gave it a miss.

If you are into trains don't miss this one. Bit pricey but well worth it. Nice village with plenty of amenities.

A pleasant train ride, but we could not see much of the scenery due to the low clod and wet weather. Has a decent cup of tea from the buffet trolley.

Great little railway. Bought tickets online in advance for one journey. But put our thumbs out at a request station and hitched a ride the next day. Helpful staff all volunteers

Booked for a fantastic trip with friends. What a beautiful scenery area. Greenery, flowers, walking track. It's just awesome place even walking towards platform. We reached at station and very much impressed by the station look. Very well maintained, clean, tidy and well painted. There was a cafe which was closed. It was quiet but beautiful. After couple of minutes when feel strange then realised we were late and train has gone 😂. It was laughing and crying moments together. Anyhow walk back to village to do something else.
